US-CHINA Education and Culture Exchange Center (UsChinaEdu), a non-political, non-religious, non-profit organization committed to develop a needed symbiosis between two nations separated by 10,000 miles. UsChinaEdu's mission is to foster cross-cultural understanding between Chinese and Americans. The organization achieves this goal by providing Americans and Chinese with various educational opportunities to study, work and live in US or China. UsChinaEdu's home office is located on University of Bridgeport campus, and field office runs its operations from Beijing and Hangzhou in China. Study in China is a Summer Learning Opportunity for any individual who is looking for learning and traveling experience in China. Qualifications: The program is for any individual who is looking for a meaningful learning experience and intensive traveling in China. Length of Program: 4 weeks (June 1-June 21, 2006 - may vary by a day or so depending on available flight) Cost of Summer Programs: $2,500 includes roundtrip international airfare, in-country transportation and excursions, meals and housing during travel and study. Note: This summer program may qualify for international internship and/or 4 credit hours accepted by your schools.

A twenty week program that combines intensive language study with a full-time internship. Twelve weeks of language work with an introduction to the Chinese work culture precedes the eight-week internship, Internships are offered : Arts and Architecture.
Courses and internships are conducted exclusively in Chinese.

University of Virginia - Summer in Beijing

The program to Beijing will be offered again this summer, to study Chinese history, architecture, landscape architecture and environmental issues.
Cost;
Final cost will be announced by the University International Studies Office. Estimated cost: $785 for academic fees; $500 for room and board; $1400 for air fare; and $150 in miscellaneous fees. The estimated total for cost at this time is approximately $2,835 - $3,035 depending on the number of students participating in the program and the exact or final figures for the group air fare (students and faculty must fly together on a package arrangement).

Capital Normal University Beijing, China
The Beijing Capital Normal University is one of the key institutes of the Beijing municipality. Its eleven departments offer a wide range of courses. The college also has special Institutes of Educational Science, British History, Economic History of Chinese Ancient Society as well as an affiliated campus school. Most students take intensive Chinese language and culture courses. Traditional Chinese painting and instrumental music are also available.
Program objectives
The program is designed to provide an opportunity for students majoring in a variety of fields to study the Chinese language and explore Chinese history, literature and culture on site, as well as to add an international dimension to their chosen field of study.
Costs;
The Program Fee for the Fall or Spring semester is $3,235*; or $6,400*for the academic year, plus round trip transportation and State University of New York tuition and College Fee. The Program Fee includes orientation, full room and board (including vacation periods), program administration, health and accident insurance, and other expenses, such as books, a modest allowance for entertainment and incidentals and some travel while in China. Costs not included in the Program Fee (application fee, Passport, visa, round trip airfare, evacuation/repatriation insurance) are estimated at $2,615 for one semester and $2,015 for the academic year
